Thermography

During the New Year we are all looking for ways to improve our health and wellness. (I can’t tell you how many of my friend’s New Year’s Resolutions are to be healthier and exercise)

Instead of blindly assessing what your body is missing you should come in for a Thermography exam!

Thermography is not only for breast cancer and women.  It can help you see if there is any inflammation in certain areas of your body and how to best address them.

For those of you who are new to my Blog or were wondering what theremography is here’s an old Post:

Thermography

I’m sure many of you have wondered what those ‘colorful’ photos were under my Blog Name.  Those photos are thermal images.

As a Licensed Dental Hygienist and Certified Clinical Thermographer I believe the mouth and body share an ecosystem that must be treated as a whole to obtain sustainable health.

Thermography helps promote overall vitality and wellness.  It is an excellent choice when considering a proactive approach to maintaining your health.  Thermography allows us to see what you may not feel.

It is noninvasive, there is no harmful radiation, and no pain or body contact.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a body screening please contact me at Thermography for Health NY and Set up an appointment today.

Early detection saves lives!

False Positive Results can actually lead to cancer!

Mammograms can often lead to more harm than good.   Unfortunately, mammograms are very unreliable and can often conclude ‘false positive results.’

That false news can completely shake a woman’s sense of well-being.  The victims are then subjected to more diagnostic testing.  In fact, these false-positive patients may undergo more diagnostic procedures than patients who actually do have breast cancer.

The radiation from this testing can lead to cancer itself!

False positive results can also lead to unnecessary and intrusive surgical interventions.

To all women out there- if you have gotten a positive mammogram please seek other opinions before taking drastic measures.  The chances of getting a false positive result are over 50% in your lifetime.

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force guidelines now recommend biennial mammograms starting at age 50 and continuing until age 74. However, many doctors still recommend annual mammograms, often beginning at age 40.  I suggest that all women get a Thermography exam instead of an annual mammogram.  Thermography is a safe and radiation free way to detect changes in your breasts.

Try it out now!

False Positive Mammograms

Mainstream doctors have convinced many women that the best detection for Breast Cancer is Mammograms.  This information couldn’t be farther from the truth!

As I wrote about in, Thermograms vs. Mammograms, Mammograms can cause more harm than good.  Mammograms emit a high level of radiation, can increase your risk of radiation inducted cancers, and can produce false positive results.

In 2009, a government advisory group conducted a breast cancer study involving 170,000 women between the ages of 40 and 59.  During this study they found that 61% of women getting annual screens were likely to receive false positive results.

61%!  That’s over half.

One of the scariest things a woman can hear is that her mammogram shows a suspicious mass in her breast.  Can you imagine going for an annual check up and being told you might have breast cancer?  Our mind is a very powerful thing and  news like this can be very physically and psychologically harmful.

Don’t use Mammograms as your early detection tool.  Instead, try other techniques such as a Thermography or Self-Breast Exams.  These practices are much better for your mental and physical health.

Treat your body (and boobs!) with respect.

Thermography- Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I’m all for promoting Breast Cancer Awareness Month and ‘Early Detection’ but many people recommend and emphasize the wrong thing (Mammograms!) during this month.

In my practice, I focus on overall breast health and ways to prevent breast cancer in your daily life rather than putting the emphasis on testing, poking, and squeezing.  Mammograms have been the gold standard for years and many doctors recommend them because they think they are the best for detecting cancer early- but this is not true!  Studies show that a thermography exam can identify precancerous or cancerous cells earlier and will produce unambiguous results.  This can cut down on additional testing .

People need to educate themselves and know how dangerous Mammograms can be!

Mammograms emit a high level of radiation and can increase your risk of radiation inducted cancers.  They can also lead to false positive results.

But with a Thermography exam there is no harmful radiation, it is noninvasive and causes no pain or body contact.

Thermography is a safe and efficient way to access your overall health!

Be smart.  Learn what is out there and make your own informed choices.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  This month is dedicated to help people learn more about Breast Cancer and the need for early detection.  As I keep emphasizing in my Blog Posts- Early Detection saves lives!  During this month there are hundreds of fundraising runs, hikes, walks and various other events that raise hundred of millions of dollars for the cause.  This is great but I suggest that every woman take time  out of their busy lives and get a Thermography exam this month!

((Courtesy of emilayusof.com))

Every year about 180,000 women in the US are diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 44,000 die of the disease.

The motto of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is “Early Detection is Your Best Protection.”

I couldn’t agree with them more!

Thermography is a great tool for early detection of Breast Cancer.

It detects blood flow patterns and areas of inflammation and asymmetry in the breast.  Unlike Mammograms (the popular Breast Cancer Diagnostic Tool) Thermography is noninvasive, there is no harmful radiation, and no pain or body contact.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a Breast Screening please contact me at Thermography for Health NY and Set up an appointment today.

Stay tuned for more on Breast Cancer Awareness Month and how Thermography can save your life!

Clinical Case Studies

I wanted to share with you guys some powerful quotes about Thermography and your health.

“1982 FDA approved Thermography as an adjunctive Breast screening procedure. Breast Thermography has the ability to detect the first signs of a tumor that may be forming up to 10 years before other procedures can detect it. The greatest evidence supporting the underlying principle of thermal imaging regarding cancerous tumors surrounds the well documented recruitment of existing vascularity and diagnosis. Conclusion-it has the ability to signal an alarm that cancer may be forming up to 10 years before other procedures can.”

– The Biomedical Handbook

“Screening for breast cancer with mammography is unjustified…the data show that for every 1000 women screened biennially throughout 12 years, one breast-cancer death is avoided whereas the total number of deaths is increased by six…there is no reliable evidence that screening decreases breast-cancer mortality.”

– The Lancet (One of the oldest most respected medical journals in the world)

“Thermography’s digital infrared imaging can detect the increase in regional breast temperatures resulting from measured blood vessel activity in both pre cancerous tissue and the area surrounding a developing breast cancer.”

– National Cancer Institute

Why haven’t you heard of Thermography?!

I’m sure many of you are thinking- ‘If Thermography is so good for me why haven’t I heard much about it?!

Explanation: It’s all about money!

This proven technology has been thwarted by the multi-billion dollar American mammography industry. For over 30 years, it has conducted a successful campaign that has suppressed this life saving technology – at the expense of American women. Breast thermography’s outstanding accuracy is proven, while mammography’s screening failure and drawbacks are widely known. But, mammography is still promoted while breast thermography is discouraged.

A financial empire has developed around mammography screening. In fact, if every woman were to follow American Cancer Society’s guidelines for mammography screening, the annual revenue to the mammography industry would exceed $5 billion.

Even though experts report in the most prestigious medical journal that…

“Screening for breast cancer with mammography is unjustified…the data show that for every 1000 women screened biennially throughout 12 years, one breast-cancer death is avoided whereas the total number of deaths is increased by six…there is no reliable evidence that screening decreases breast-cancer mortality.”

– The Lancet One of the oldest most respected medical journals in the world

Reputable medical professionals have repeatedly reported in the most respected medical journals that mammography screening to detect early breast cancers is inaccurate, ineffective, and its X-rays are harmful to a woman’s health. The benefits are minimal, at best, but the hazard to women’s health is enormous. In fact, since mammography screening was introduced in the early 1970’s, the incidence of ductal carcinoma in situ has increased by 328%, 200% of which is due to mammography.

Don’t be fooled.

Self Care and Thermography

Many of us are so busy with our every day lives that we don’t take time for ourselves.  But taking the time every day to care for your body and mind will make you feel good about yourself and will expand into every part of your life.

Through my blog, I have given you numerous little and easy things you can implement into your life to improve your health and well-being.

Adding

-Green Tea

-Turmeric

-Skin Brushing

-Watching out for Inflammation

-And Thermography exams

We only have one body and need to treat it right.

I want to re-emphasize the importance of Thermography in self-care.

It has been drilled in many of our heads by countless doctors that every woman should get a mammogram every year after they turn 40.  What these doctors are not telling you is that mammograms are not as helpful or safe as you might think.

Mammograms expose you to approximately 1,000 times the amount of radiation you’d get in a chest X-ray.  This radiation is stored in your cells and accumulates to significant levels over time if you’re getting the annual mammogram.  Also, during a mammogram your breast are being compressed.  This can damage breast tissue and may even open cancerous tumors.

The American College of Physicians, the largest medical specialty group, recently questioned the benefit of mammograms.  They stated that the risks might outweigh the benefits.

These are pretty amazing and alarming findings.

I encourage you to also do your own research.  Find out your options and what is best for you health.  We have the power of choice.

Love your body and treat it well!

Thermograms vs Mammograms

Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women and the risk of getting it increases with age.

Thermography helps detect Breast Cancer in its early stages by monitoring the temperature variations.  Research shows that Thermograms can detect a tumor when it is only 256 cells (2 years old- the size of rice!)  On the other hand, mammograms cannot detect a tumor until it is 8 years old (over 4 billion cells and size of a dime!)

Doctors that understand thermography suggest starting at an early age to establish a baseline and for early disease prevention.
I suggest that women start getting Thermograms for Breast Cancer screenings in their later 20s.  Studies show that cure rates are greater than 95% when detected early.

Thermography is also much safer than mammograms.  Mammograms emit a high level of radiation and can increase your risk of radiation inducted cancers.

Neither of these tests are diagnostic but Thermography is a safer alternative!

Thermography and Early Breast Cancer Detection

Thermography is a great tool for early detection of Breast Cancer.

Thermal Imaging can help identify vascular changes in the breast.   It detects irregular temperature patterns in breast tissue even before a noticeable lump is formed (unlike mammograms.)

Pre-cancerous and cancerous masses are highly metabolic tissues.   They need a large supply of nutrients in order to maintain their growth. In order to do this they increase circulation to their cells which increase the surface temperatures.

Thermography detects blood flow patterns and areas of inflammation and asymmetry in the breast.

Studies show that 1 in every 8 women will get breast cancer in their lives.  Don’t let this statistic be you.

Your health is in your hands.
