The Importance of Bowel Function (a.k.a. Why Does My Practitioner Care About My Poop?)

Discussing bowel functions is an uncomfortable topic for most people.  It is just not the kind of topic one discusses in polite conversation.  And yet, bowel movements are an essential and normal bodily function.  Indeed, your bowel movements can reveal the healthiness and overall integrity of your digestive system.  Does that surprise you?  It shouldn’t!  Just think about it: the end product of your digestive system and all its work — is your bowel movement!

Consequently, paying attention to your bowel movements is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your health!  Although it is an uncomfortable topic of conversation for so many people, examining and talking about your bowel movements is critical to maintaining your good health!
